Paul John Salfer

Paul, 88, of Brookfield WI, was welcomed into Heaven's gates when he passed away peacefully due to complications from aspiration pneumonia on August 16th, 2025, at Elmbrook hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Milwaukee on July 1st, 1937, to John and Lioba Salfer. He graduated from Messmer High School. Paul worked at Addressograph Multigraph where he met his sweetheart, Tanya, who was his loving wife for 64 years until she passed away July 23rd, 2024. He retired from working for the Milwaukee Public Schools after being there over 25 years.

Paul loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and enjoyed talking about it. He would often question people if they knew Jesus as their Lord and Savior. He had a custom license plate with the Bible Verse Luke 9:23 which says, "Then he (Jesus) said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." He enjoyed reading the Bible among many other Christian books in his large library. A few years ago, he donated many of his books to a church to start a library. Paul loved being outside and watching the birds on the bird feeder.

Paul, was a devoted Husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and is survived by his, sisters Marianne and Elaine (Rod), son John Salfer (Donna), daughter Jill Zillner (Jeff), grandchildren: Jessica Chavarria (Luis), Miranda Konkel (Joel), Joshua Salfer (Prisma), Jordan Zillner (Joanna), Ellie Smith (Ryan), Jacob Salfer (Kiana) and great grandchildren: Jazmine, Viviana, Lillie, Kaya, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Pippa, & Willamina. He is now joined in Heaven with his beloved wife Tanya.
