Joanne A. Szablewski

(Nee Ellmaurer) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, at the age of 85. Devoted wife of Jerome for 64 years. Loving mother of Kenneth, Jeffrey (Lisa), Joseph (Christine), and Joshua (Gina) Szablewski. Proud grandmother of Ethan, Erin, Isabel, Evan, and Ian. Sister of Barbara Ellmaurer and the late Kathleen McLaughlin. Daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (nee Gaitens) Ellmaurer.

Joanne graduated from Messmer High School, St. Mary's School of Nursing, and Alverno College. She was a nurse for 35 years, specializing in the care of newborns and their mothers. She was an avid collector of quilting, knitting, and stitching projects, some of which she completed and many of which have since been shared with love to family and strangers alike. She was very fond of her grand dogs.

The family would especially like to thank her caregivers at Hartland Terrace.
