Joan Zidek

Joan Zidek, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on September 28, 2025, at the age of 94, in her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Born on August 10, 1931, to Alfred and Lucille Luther, Joan attended Messmer High School and left Mount Mary College to become a devoted wife and mother of twelve.

Joan loved her faith and her family. She belonged to the Christian Mothers Society and her Rosary group at St. Margaret Mary Parish. Joan was a dedicated employee of Capitol Allergy Clinic for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, calling old friends, and singing "Happy Birthday" over the phone to those she loved.

She is survived by her children Geri, Gail, Dave (Sue), Joe, Carol, Mark (Lisa), Lynn, Tom, John, 28 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother, Russell (Carol) Luther.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, daughter, Mary, sons, Steven, and Greg, granddaughter Sarah, son-in-law, Greg, and her brother, Roger (Carol) Luther.

Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, with service at 12:00 PM, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 3970 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
