Michael David Zidek

Michael David Zidek, born on December 29, 1995, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 29 years old.
Michael's journey through life was marked by a deep passion for the culinary arts that was awakened at Bistro 83, in North Ridgeville, OH. He brought creativity and dedication to every dish he prepared. He spent several years honing his craft at Bistro 83 where he worked his way through the ranks, became an integral part of the team and was rewarded with the coveted title of Sous Chef. His time there was not just a job-it was where he laid the foundation for his culinary identity and shared his love of cooking with colleagues and patrons alike.
Most recently, Michael brought his talents to The Hi Mark in Cincinnati, OH. With characteristic enthusiasm and ambition, he looked forward to contributing meaningfully to the restaurant's culinary experience. His aspirations reflected not only his skill but also his desire to bring joy to others through food.
Michael was a huge fan of UFC and spent many memoral times with his closest friends watching and attending fights.
He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and always looked forward to watching the games with family and friends.
Michael is lovingly remembered by his mother, Robin Zidek (Heisser); his father, David Zidek; and his sister, Marissa Heisser. He also leaves behind his niece Aleena Beshears and nephew Avaren Beshears, who both brought him great pride and joy. His grandmothers, Margery Heisser (Minerd) and Nancy Zidek (Dubrovich), survive him as well. Great nephew to Diane Daste (Maceo). Nephew to Mark Heisser (Brenda), David Heisser (Maire), Robert Heisser (Trish), Ted Zidek, Maria Dodge (Dave), Tammy (Smith) and Sue Zidek (Molek). Beloved cousin to many.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Wayne J Heisser and Paul B Zidek, as well as his Uncle, Paul A Zidek.
Michael's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him-his family, friends, coworkers, and all who had the pleasure of sharing a meal crafted by his hands. The warmth of his embraces, which exuded his affection, was felt by many and will be profoundly missed by anyone lucky enough to have received them. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his loss and an inspiration to those who continue in the path he so passionately pursued.
