Elisabeth Rohr

Elisabeth Rohr ("Oma"), of Sussex, WI, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on August 24th, 2025.

Born in Mucsi, Hungary, Elisabeth was the beloved wife of the late Frank Rohr, and devoted Mother to Peter (Mary), the late Tony, and the late Mary (Scott). Cherished Oma to Kristin (Todd), Stephanie (Brian), Amanda, Jenny (Alex), and David. Great-Oma to Brody, Finley, Henry, Jack, and future baby Oelerich.

Elisabeth devoted her life to family and caring for others. Her love was most often shared through her cooking and baking, which brought comfort and connection to countless gatherings, family holidays, and everyday moments. She also found joy in tending her beautiful flowers and vegetable garden, which brightened her home and brought delicious food to her table.

Her strong faith guided her though life and her spirit of resilience and drive were an inspiration to all who knew her. Fiercely independent and determined, she also carried a passion for staying active, remaining a member of the Wisconsin Athletic Club into her 90s.

She will be remembered most for her warm smile, her thoughtful heart, her unwavering strength, and the way she made everyone feel truly cared for and loved.

Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, from 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Elisabeth's name.
