Joan C. Belsey (nee Ott)

It is with great sadness that the Belsey family announces the passing of Joan C. Belsey. Joan was born on April 11th,1939 and passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on August 6th, 2025. She was loved deeply and will be missed.

Joan attended West Allis Central High School, graduating in 1957. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Frank Belsey and together they raised four beautiful children.

Joan was an avid bowler, winning countless tournaments and making many friends over her bowling career. Frank was quoted as saying "I couldn't beat her at bowling, so I had to marry her"! Together they owned and operated Deer Park Lanes in Oconomowoc, WI. Upon her husband's passing, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children and family. Always smiling, Joan was kind and easy going. She loved her New Berlin home and spent much of her spare time working in the yard and garden. As a nature lover and Milwaukee Brewers fan, she enjoyed listening to game broadcasts while watching birds, squirrels and deer in her yard.

Loving Mother of Joni (Steve) Turdo, Frank, Jon (Kim) and Todd (Holly). Dear Grandmother of Anna and Ashley, Krystal (Keith) Schroeder, Nicholas, Christine (Chris) Wolf and Dana. Dear Great Grandmother of Logan, Maddox and Vivian.

Further survived by brothers Fred (Mary Janet) Ott and Greg (Cindy) Ott, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Frank, mother and father, Florence and Frederick Ott, mother in law and father in law, Rose and Frank Belsey.
