ALBION-Paul Andrew Schilousky, 61, of Albion, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha due to complications from lung cancer surgery. His fight with lung cancer was brief but courageous.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Albion United Methodist Church in Albion with Pastors Lynde Linde and Roy Schilousky officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 30th at Albion United Methodist Church. A private family burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.
Paul was born in Albion on July 21, 1961, to Robert Jr. and Dixie (Singleton) Schilousky. He graduated from Albion Public High School in 1979. He was married in August 1980 and from this union had four children. Paul believed in hard work and doing things right. He loved gardening, classic cars, racing, fishing, and making wine. He was a talented craftsman and storyteller as well as a proud father and grandfather.
Paul is survived by his children, Shasta Schilousky, Shana (Michael) Burke, Cameron Schilousky, and Claire Schilousky, all of Omaha; his mother, Dixie Schilousky of Albion; grandchildren, Ryatt and Harlow Burke; beloved brothers, Dan (Kim) of Cedar Rapids and Joe of Albion; uncles, Roy Schilousky of Albion and Paul Singleton of Germany; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Jr.; sister, Robbin McAlister; and uncles, Charles and Larrie Singleton.
