Paul Sciarra

The Sciarra family is sad to announce the passing of Paul Sciarra, 68, of Bloomfield and formerly of West Hartford, on August 25, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Redden) Sciarra for 45 years. He is survived by his sons, Daniel and Andrew Sciarra, and his daughter, Kelly DePratti, and son-in-law Alex DePratti. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas, Analisa, Ella, Madelynn, and Molly DePratti. He is also survived by his two sisters, Marilyn Ridolfo and Debra Sciarra as well as many sister and brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Selma (Warner) and Gerald Sciarra. At the beginning of his career, he was a property manager at Clemens Place in Hartford, CT. Afterwards, he followed his father in managing the properties on 56 Arbor Street. After his father's passing, Paul sold the properties and joined the real estate business. For the past twenty years, he had been a member and employee of Berkshire Hathaway. Paul loved talking about real estate and helping people find homes. He served as President of the West Hartford Youth Boys Basketball League and the West Hartford Girls Soccer Team, which served hundreds of children in West Hartford. Paul was a mentor to many athletes in Town and cared greatly for them. Paul cherished his children and grandchildren more than anything in life. He loved attending their sporting events, their short conversations, and especially stopping by for a "quick kiss." A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Avenue. The burial will be private.
