Paul Scull Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory - Newark on Jan. 2, 2026.
Rev. Dr. Paul Edward Scull, age 76, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Born in Vineland, NJ on August 17, 1949, he was a son of the late Russell Scull and Ada (Wellman) Fox. Paul graduated from Vineland High School in 1968. Following graduation he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, Paul attended several colleges and graduated in North Carolina where he received his DC/Psy degree. He was an Assistant Pastor at Chestnut Assembly of God, retiring after 28 years of serving his church family and the Lord. Later, he and his family moved to Delaware where they became devoted members of Parkview Assembly of God. Paul loved to teach and counsel and wrote several self-help books. He was also invited to Korea to preach at a large church and enjoyed the people and learning different customs.

Paul loved gardening. In the winter, he had plans he would draw up for the garden with specific flowers and vegetables. He also enjoyed reading, sometimes several books at one time. Paul had a real interest in history including different wars, P.O.W.'s, Missionaries during the 2 nd World War. There was a room filled with books, and he read them all.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Eileen P. (Tarozzi) Scull; children, Amie Scull, and Michael Scull (Debbie); grandson, Keith Scull; Debbie's children, Alex and Sammy; siblings, Bob Scull (Sheryl), Jimmy Scull, and Emma Hullihen; and many dear friends, including his church families.

Services will be held at a later date. A private committal will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
