He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a tinsmith for Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick before his retirement.
His wife, Emma Dashkavich Skowrenski, died in 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Skowrenski and Richard Skowrenski and wife Jill; two daughters, Paula Catalano and husband Paul and Nancy Keiser and husband Allen; and two grandchildren, Autumn and Brianna.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
