Paul Thomas Smith, 69, husband of Brenda Smith, a resident of Lobelville, and former Equipment technician for Vanderbilt died Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his residence.  

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born June 27, 1954 in Baumholder, Germany, He was the son of the late Paul and Ellen Smith. Paul served in the United States Army, then worked for Hickman County Ambulance Service, Later he worked for Vanderbilt Medical Center as an Equipment Technician, Paul loved boating and fishing, Spending time with family and friends, especially his grandbabies. Paul was deeply loved and will be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Smith, son: Paul Brandon Smith, brothers: Ronnie Smith and Gene Smith, sisters: Donna Elliot, Pat Cheek, and Debbie Bassham, grandchildren: Paul Hunter Smith, Jillianne Arnold, McKenzie Smith, Isabella Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom Trout, Jim Trout, Ronnie Smith, Gene Smith, Jessie Woodall, and Josh Mathis.
