Paul H. Smith, Sr., 93, of Fredericksburg, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Paul was born on March 16, 1931, in Rehrersburg to the late Milton & Minnie Smith. He was a graduate of Bethel High School with the Class of 1949. Paul moved to Fredericksburg when he took a job at Manbeck & Kissinger, where he worked for 50 years. After retiring, Paul became a school bus driver which was a job he truly loved. Paul even dabbled in real estate after completing a course at the Lancaster School of Real Estate. He served as a member of the Fredericksburg Water & Sewer Authority. Paul was a long-time member of St. John's UCC in Fredericksburg, where he served on the men's fellowship and on the consistory. When Paul moved to Annville, he then joined the Christ Church U.C.C. of Annville.
Paul spent most of his life living on a farm, where he kept himself busy. He could often be found mowing, taking care of his pets, admiring his antique tractor collection, or just sitting out back relaxing and enjoying his views. He loved to go out to eat and could often be seen at several local restaurants throughout Lebanon County. Paul spoke fluent Pennsylvania Dutch and enjoyed attending PA Dutch festivals and gatherings. He will be truly missed, but not forgotten.
Paul is survived by his four children: Paul Smith, Jr., husband of Kitty of Downingtown, Terry Smith husband of Tracy of Fredericksburg, Lori Reigle wife of Carl of Annville, and Lisa Reigle wife of Tony of Womelsdorf; sister Evelyn Smith of Mt. Aetna; eight grandchildren: Tony Smith, Jarrid Smith, Dustin Smith, Arianne Reigle, Jordon Reigle, Cameron Reigle, Emily Smith, & Jullian Reigle; and six great grandchildren: Brandon Smith, Kendall Smith, Mason Smith, Jak Smith, Cole Smith, & Issac Smith. Paul was preceded in death by his siblings: Herman Smith, Blanche Bullian & Ray Smith, and his grandson Brandon Reigle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Altalaha Lutheran Cemetery, Rehrersburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider donating to St. John's U.C.C. of Fredericksburg or the Lebanon Humane Society.

I spent many lunch breaks sitting with Paul at the farm, when I delivered the mail. I've missed that so much. I've known him most of my life, and he became a cherished friend of mine, my husband, and my daughter. He watched me grow up. We'd devil each other, laugh, and cry too. I loved him so. Our hearts go out to his family. You were his true joy. Hell be missed so much. Rick, Julie, and Epiphany Bliesath
