Evelyn Valalee Smith

Evelyn Valalee Smith – 85 of Maynardville, passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1940 to Billy Rosson and Ruby Venable. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Valalee spent most of her time cooking and quilting. These two things were her passions and how she showed her love to the ones she cared for. Anyone who entered her home never left without a full belly and a full heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Rosson and Ruby Venable; granddaughter, Temeriah Collins; and brother, Glenn Rosson. Valalee is survived by husband of 30 years, Lee Smith; children, Chantay (Phil) Collins, Leticia (Horace) Hundley, Marvin (Deborah) Keck, Kevin (Libby) Keck; stepchildren, Tamara (Chris) Treadway, John (Gina) Smith and Sarah (Tony) Bailey; she was also blessed with eight grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and thirty-one step great grandchildren; and siblings, Mildred Sharp and Ann Walker.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Jody Winstead officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity 1:45 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 to proceed to Fairview Cemetery in Tazewell for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service.
