Paul A. Supley, age 60, died on Monday, April 1st, 2024, in the comfort of his life-long home. Paul was born on July 8, 1963, in Schenectady, NY and was the son of Mary Ann P. (Burnham) Supley and the late Paul E. Supley.
After graduating from Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School with the Class of 1981, Paul attended Norwich University. He later served for several years with the Army Reserve, in Schenectady, NY. After his service, Paul worked his way up to becoming the devoted and esteemed owner of Historic Medicine, located in Ballston Lake. In addition, Paul was the enthusiastic owner at Eighteenth Century Historic Agriculture and Van Wycke's Chocolate Haus. His pure love and admiration for history carried on as he worked at the Herkimer Home State Historic Site, the Old Fort Johnson National Historic Landmark, SUNY Schenectady County Community College, and as the Director of Operations and Programming at the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands. For some time, Paul also worked at Fidelis Care. Recently, he was employed at Boscov's, where he enjoyed his employment and the camaraderie with his work family. Many hours of Paul's life were spent at the Mabee Farm Historic Site, where he and many other fellow historians, shared in passionate re-enactments and educational activities.
Paul is survived by his loving mother Mary Ann P. Supley; his caring sisters Lisa (Todd) Kastberg and Cathy (Craig) Todd; his dear nieces and nephews Ashley, Lauren, Zachary, Jacob, and Grace; and his wonderful great-nieces and nephews Alivia, Caleb, Adalina, Emerson, and Carson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 25, 2024 at 11 AM at Mabee Farm, 1100 Main St, Rotterdam Junction, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
