Paul Vandenberg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beeler-Gores Funeral Home on Jan. 14, 2026.
We are sad to announce the passing of Paul Vandenberg, who left this world peacefully surrounded by family on January 10, 2026, at the age of 65. He was born on February 7, 1960, in St. Joseph, Michigan to Marion and Genevieve Vandenberg.

Paul was married to his beloved wife, Theresa Vandenberg, for 46 years, and together they raised two children, Jennifer Vandenberg and Justin Vandenberg (Mercedas Brown). He was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren. Mackenzie, Keghan, Shelby, Taylor, Victoria, Addisyn, Kolten and Alexzander. Who he loved dearly, there was never a dull moment when the grandkids were around.

Paul attended Lakeview High School and graduated in 1978. He went on to have a successful career as a bus driver, volunteer firefighter for the Hickory Corners Fire Dept. where he served many years and loss prevention officer at Goodwill Industries.

When he wasn't working, Paul enjoyed playing on the pool league, target shooting, and engaging in a challenging game of cornhole. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party.

Paul will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now peace after losing his battle with brain cancer.

Paul's cerebration of life luncheon will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday January 25, 2026 at the American Legion in Hickory Corners. Please visit www.williamsgoresfuneral.com to share a memory or leave a condolence message for Paul's family.
