Paul A. Vickers, born January 20, 1940, passed away September 6, 2025. Born in Kissimmee, FL to Charlie and Ola (Boney) Vickers. Sixth child to a family of 15 he was raised as part of an Osceola Pioneer family. As a teenager he worked various jobs doing things like cutting cypress poles for fence posts with his Dad, helping put highway 441 in production, he also helped build the building that is now the Kenansville Cafe. Not being a fan of construction, at the tender age of 13-14 he left home to live the life of a cowboy. Learning the ways of cattle and ranch management from the Boney family he spent several years around Okeechobee. Paul was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville. Then in 1960, he met the love of his life, JoAnn Denmon. They married September 1, 1961 and had three children, Belleva, Dion and Scott. Paul was a husband, dad and friend. He loved company. Having friends and family around made him happy but his greatest honor was being called Grandpa. He loved kids! Paul also loved camping, fishing, gardening and being a prankster. Nothing brought him greater joy and a good laugh than to booger somebody good! He was an amazing cook. Hope you weren't too hungry because if you ate before 11pm you were lucky. He was always up for having a good time and lived life to the fullest. As one of his many famous sayings goes, "see you later you crazy things"!

He is preceded in death by loving wife: JoAnn Vickers; parents: Charlie and Ola Vickers; sisters: Vida Merle Vickers and Esther Ruth Collins; brothers: Charles, Jimmy, Sammy, Larry and C.G. Vickers.

He is survived by his children: Belleva (Dale) Clark, Dion (Jennifer) Vickers, Scott (Tina) Vickers; grandchildren: Clay (Amanda) Vickers, Kendall Vickers, Joe (Candace) Sutton, Jordan Navarre, Will and Erick Clark; great grandchildren: Brylee Vickers and Lainey Sutton; sisters, MaryLou Madison, Charlotte Baisden, Becky (Jesse) Ayers, Sandra Collins, Faye O'Berry; brothers: Wayne (Becky) Vickers and Bruce (Cathy) Vickers.

Funeral Services for Paul will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Kenansville, with the Reverend David Wallace and Reverend Buddy Colvin, officiating. Interment to follow in Kenansville Cemetery. Active casketbearers: Stoney Vickers, Justin Vickers, Cliff Vickers, Mitchell Vickers, Clay Vickers and Donny Collins.
