Publish in a newspaper

Paul Leaman Wade, born on December 6, 1945, in Seminole, TX and departed this life to begin his eternal journey with Jesus on August 26, 2025, in Jacksboro, TX. A graveside will be held at I.O.O.F. Westlake Cemetery (3101 JT Ottinger Rd Westlake, Tx 76262) on September 6, 2025, at 3:30 p.m.

He married the love of his life, Edrie Ann (Caldwell), on June 14, 1963. They were married 43 years until her death on August 21, 2006.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Adcock, his parents, Dan and Ethel (Quillen) Wade, and his brothers, Clifton, Autis Lee, Charles and Bobby Dean.

He is survived by his son, Brett and wife, Paula, 6 grandchildren-Melissa, Daniel, Jacob, Scott, Cara and Heather, and 10 great grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Mary Wade and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He worked in the water well industry for decades in various roles before retiring as a pump salesman. He enjoyed family, friends, hunting, fishing, gardening, and landscaping. He had a love of color when it came to plants and nature. He was an avid Cowboys fan and loved reading and studying history, particularly Texas.

I would like to give a special thanks to Teara Helsel. She is our caring angel. She cared for Paul for the last 8 months of his life with unconditional love, compassion, caring and friendship. She called him Paw-Paw. Teara has always been a wonderful blessing to both Brett and Paula. Thanks also to the staff at Faith Community Nursing Center in Jacksboro, TX for the care that they gave Paul.

In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider donating to your favorite charity, or plant a tree in his honor.
