Paul Wolek, 55 of Wall, New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on July 15th at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Paul and his business partner Rich Cetta owned Wolek's Metal Craft in West Belmar, New Jersey, a three-generation family business.

He is predeceased by his father, Victor Alan Wolek. He is survived by his children Jane Wojciechowski and JP Wojciechowski, his mother Jeanne Wolek, his brothers Greg Wolek and his wife Michelle, Andrew Wolek and his wife Robin, Franke Wolek, nephews Andrew Wolek and Brian Wolek, and cousin Chris Geist.

Paul was born in Point Pleasant Hospital on March 8th, 1970. He held the record for the largest baby born for many years which earned him the nickname butterball. He continued being larger-than-life as he grew in both years and talent.

Paul was a true renaissance man. He was incredibly talented in every medium you put in his hand, from welding metal, landscaping, carpentry, acrylic, to reef tanks. He was a great wordsmith and giant prankster. He had the ability to make anyone laugh and his storytelling skills were legendary.

Among his favorite topics were stories of his childhood with his brothers and the adventures they had into his teenage years and beyond. He also loved to tell embarrassing stories about his children and the silly antics they got into growing up, and it's something they remember fondly. He went to every dance recital, every teeball and soccer game, and coached many of their teams throughout the years. He instilled in his children the importance to living authentically true to themselves, and he lived this example throughout his life.

He was always there to help, whether it was moving something heavy, listening to your problems and helping to sort them out, or giving a little tough love, if that is what was needed. His friend group spanned far and wide, and he was always able to find a deep connection with anyone and leave a lasting impression.

Paul was an organ donor, and even in his death he was able to continue to help people.

He was loved by many and it is difficult to say goodbye to someone that was so impactful to friends and family. Paul lived more life in his short 55 years than some people live in a lifetime. His goofy laugh, crazy dances, and silly stories will be greatly missed.
