Paul Pu-chiang Wu

Paul Pu-chiang Wu, age 86, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on March 26, 1939, in Taiwan, Paul was the beloved son of Wu Sen Shu and Wu Ho Ai Zhu. He immigrated to the United States in 1970, and in 1973 he graduated with a Master of Science in Computer Science from George Washington University. Paul went on to work for Computer Data Corporation and Fannie Mae before embarking on a new venture with his wife, Kazuyo. Together, they founded Tokyo Pearl, Ltd. in 1982, building it with dedication and hard work until their retirement in 2016. Paul will be remembered as a hardworking, kind, generous, and strong-willed man. He found great joy in gardening, landscaping, and growing vegetables, and he loved to share his delicious cooking with family and friends. Above all, he cherished his family and was especially delighted by his grandsons, Alex and Chris, who lovingly knew him as "Jiji." He is survived by his devoted wife, Kazuyo Nakajima Wu; his daughter, Emily Hanayo Dubnowski, and son-in-law, William Alexander Dubnowski; and his grandsons, Alexander Paul Dubnowski and Christopher John Dubnowski. He is also survived by his siblings: Lucy (Wu) and Jim Chang, Amy (Wu) Chuang, Kay Hweiyu (Wu) and Charlie Wang, and Ming-chiang and Suhua Wu, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his cherished grandnephew and grandnieces. A visitation, memorial service, and reception will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia.
