Life is a journey and Paul's journey began November 7, 1954 when Bill and JoAnn Wylie welcomed him into the world in Baird, Texas. While still young Paul's father, Bill, passed away. His mother met and married Leonard "Giant' Cleveland a few years later and they moved to Rotan, Texas where Paul would grow up.
The journey became even better when Paul met and married Elaine Reed as a young man. A few years after their marriage they would welcome Aaron into the world and a little later another son, Randy, into their life. While life can be sweet it can also be bitter as Paul's marriage came to an end. Paul never remarried but filled his life with work in the oilfield where he eventually retired.
Paul's journey came to an end as he passed peacefully from this world on September 16, 2025 in Knox City, Texas. Paul was preceded in death by his father Bill Wylie, mother JoAnn Wylie Cleveland, and a brother John Wylie of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is survived by his stepfather Leonard Cleveland and sons Randy Wylie of Rotan, Texas and Aaron (Ria) Wylie of Mt. Pleasant, Texas. His grandchildren Abby Wyle and Ayden Wylie are both college students at A & M Commerce in Commerce, Texas plus a niece and nephew, Jennifer Wyle Stooksbury and Bryce Wylie both of Knoxville, Tennessee.
The family will have a private memorial at a late date.
