PAULA S. BASA
Paula S. Basa, 29 and a few, entered into rest on February 14, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wayne; also by her sons Dwight Basa (Hilary Hopkins) and Wesley (Britney) Basa; four grandchildren, Nali, Jordan, Ryker, and Gunner; two sisters, Jan (Jim) Kasten and Alice (John) Cooper; sisters-in-law, Margo Benjamin, Sally (Don) Baker, and Maureen (Gary) Maiorano; a brother-in-law, Scott (Melissa) Basa; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Ruth Benjamin; and a brother, Ben Benjamin.
Paula worked for Stafkings in their human resources department. She enjoyed traveling, riding her motorcycle, bowling, and occasionally stopped at a Casino. Paula was an active member of the First Congregational Church, Greene, NY. Her greatest love in life was her husband and sons and greatest joy, and always in her thoughts, were her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church 28 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778 on April 5, 2025, beginning at 12:00 noon followed by food and refreshments and a time for sharing memories for friends and family from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a memorial donation to support Interstitial Lung Disease made out to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611
