Paula "Polly" Bester was born on September 12, 1946, in Beckley, West Virginia, to Mary Elizabeth Cosby. She peacefully departed this life surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and family devotion.
In 1965, Paula married the love of her life, George Ralph Bester. Together, they built a beautiful life in Columbus, Ohio, where they raised their children and shared 55 wonderful years filled with joy, and unforgettable memories.
Paula began her journey as a devoted homemaker. As her children grew, she carried that same nurturing spirit into her work with Columbus Public Schools. Her kindness and unwavering support touched the lives of countless students, colleagues, and neighbors. Whether offering a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or simply her steady presence, Paula had a unique gift for making others feel loved.
Paula accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on October 3, 1979, at Jerusalem Tabernacle Baptist Church. In 1982, following God's direction, she transferred her membership to Jireh House (later known as Trevitt New Life Ministries), where she served faithfully for 24 years as a teacher and prophet.
Her dedication to ministry extended beyond the church. She was a graduate of Compassionate Care Ministries and Light University, completing studies in courses such as Caring for God's People, Extraordinary Women, and Marriage Works. Paula was a proud member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Paula later joined and was a founding member of Royal Kingdom Ministries (RKM), Paula served as part of the Five-Fold Ministry team, ministering as both Prophet and Teacher. Her mission was to equip others through the prophetic word and sound biblical teaching, in accordance with Ephesians 4:11-13. She also poured into future leaders through her teaching at the Prophecy Center School of Ministry (PCSOM).
Paula was the proud owner of Kingdom Cakes & Pastries for many years before passing the torch to her granddaughter, Alicia, who now carries on the family tradition.
Paula will be remembered not only for her steadfast faith and service but also for her warm and loving personality. If you knew her, you knew she had a special fondness for shopping and treasured the time spent with her family at home. She found joy in watching Jeopardy, solving puzzles, and engaging in trivia and crossword challenges. She also loved watching her western tv shows. Her gentle warmth, quick wit, and joyful spirit brought comfort and light to all who had the privilege of being around her.
Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George R. Bester; beautiful daughters, Alicia G. Bester and Robin Bester; mother, Mary Fox; sister, Uretta Ann Fox; brothers, Larry Fox and Walter Wilson; and great-grandson, Jharod Bester.
Paula is survived by her cherished daughters, Stephanie Bester, Denise Bester, and Cathy Farmer; brother, Victor Fox; sisters, Carol Fox and Diane (Myron) McGowan; ten grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and values she instilled.
Beyond her immediate family, Paula's warmth and kindness touched the lives of numerous nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of relatives and friends. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
