Paula Byrd

Coats, NC: Mrs. Paula Lynn Williams Byrd, age 45, of 1070 Clayhole Road died Sunday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at South Erwin Baptist Church in Erwin. Officiating will be Revs. Charles Price and Turner Matthews. Burial will follow in Williams Family Cemetery in Coats.             Paula was born April 8, 1970 in Johnston County to Thelma Coats Williams Jones of Dunn and the late Jerry Williams. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technician and was a homemaker.  Paula was a member of South Erwin Baptist Church.             Surviving, in addition to her mother, are husband, R. Jeremy Byrd; children, Hannah Byrd, Kelsey Byrd, and Dustin Byrd, all of the home; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lisa & Curtis Daughtry and Doris & Timmy Howard, all of Dunn; mother-in-law, Cathy Peede Byrd of Coats; step father, Mackie Jones of Dunn; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Melissa & Steven Pope of Dunn; and several nieces & nephews.             The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Paula Byrd Children's Scholarship Fund, c/o BB&T, P.
