Paula Forck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center & Confluence Center on Mar. 21, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Paula J. Forck
July 4, 1967 - March 13, 2025
Paula Judith Forck (nee' Doehring) was born on July 4th, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Judith (nee' Heitman) Doehring. Paula passed peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on March 13, 2025 at age 57 after a quiet three-year battle with cancer.
Paula grew up in Union, MO, and graduated from Union High School in 1985. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Fine Arts, in Graphic Design from Missouri State University in 1989. Paula was united in marriage to Mitchell Forck on September 3, 1994, in Union, MO, and was blessed with three children Tanner, Owen, and Hailey.
Paula had a tremendous love for her family. Paula enjoyed raising her kids, alongside Mitch and seeing them thrive with their various ambitions. With that came numerous games watching Tanner and Owen play baseball and countless dance competitions with Hailey. Paula was their biggest supporter and was always there for them no matter the weather or what she had going on. Most recently, she enoyed jumping in her car and road tripping to Iowa to watch Hailey dance at the football and basketball games for Iowa State University. Paula was always a phone call away. She would give great advice for whatever Tanner, Owen, and Hailey were going through and listened to their daily life updates. No matter what, if her children were involved, so was Paula. Her love for them knew no limits and she truly would do whatever it took to ensure they were happy and doing well.
Paula had a special bond with her parents. She loved talking sports with her father and enjoyed their trip together to Cooperstown to watch Owen play baseball. She spent the majority of her Fridays with her mother shopping and they always enjoyed watching Hailey dance together. Paula continued to carry on the annual girl's Branson shopping trips started by her grandmother over 30 years ago. These trips were always filled with a lot of shopping and laughter.
Paula and her sister, Krista developed a strong friendship over the years. Krista played a large role in helping Paula when she was rediagnosed with cancer three years ago. Whether it was taking her to treatments, appointments, or just getting her out of the house for a shopping trip to TJ Maxx and Sam's or a pick me up from Dunkin they always had a good time together telling stories and laughing until their side hurt.
Paula was blessed with many nieces and nephews. She had a special bond with Ella, always being her biggest fan when it came to softball and Ella taking an interest in graphic design. Paula enjoyed attending multiple games and celebrating with her when her highschool team won state and continued to enjoy watching her play for St. Charles Community College. She was also thoroughly invested in keeping up with Kolten's basketball games and enjoyed discussing Iowa State basketball with him.
Paula spent the majority of her professional career working in the balloon industry. Her dedication to Aerial Bouquets was unmatched. No matter where she was or what she was doing she was always on the lookout for items on display taking pictures in stores or buying various items to fuel their inspiration room. She valued her team and always enjoyed their morning coffee chats.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Doehring.
She is survived by her three wonderful children, Tanner Forck (Bailey) of St. Peters, MO, Owen Forck of Chesterfield, MO, and Hailey Forck of Wentzville, MO and their loving father, Mitch Forck of Dardenne Prairie, MO; father James Doehring, O'Fallon, MO; sister Krista Lause (Devin) Augusta, MO; and several nieces and nephews Ella and Kolten Lause, Doug and Daniel Link, and Kalyn and Karli Forck.
Paula will be remembered for her generous laughter, profound work ethic, and ability to turn any situation into a fun and humorous one.

Paula, it was a pleasure getting to know you over the years that our daughters became teammates and life long friends through ISUDT. You were a true gift to this world! Our time spent tailgating at ISU football games will always be remembered! The Chicken Chili recipe you made at one of our tailgates has become a tradition! It will now be referred to as Paula’s Chicken Chili whenever I make it. You will be missed my friend.
