Paula Jo Griffin

It's with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Paula Jo Griffin. Paula, 71, unexpectedly left us on July 5, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH. Paula endured a condition called retinitis pigmentosa that eventually took Paula Jo's sight. Despite this challenge, she still enjoyed traveling, family, and never let her disability hinder her joy in life. She spent many years as a librarian at the Cincinnati Public Library before her retirement.
Paula leaves behind her devoted husband of 48 years, Carl Griffin, her loving children, Steven (Sara) Griffin and Kelly Griffin, step-daughter, Kim (Donald) Clark, step-siblings, Sandy Turner, David Turner, Mark (Cassie) Hopkins, Kathy Orebaugh, Lisa (Malcolm) Byrd and Gina (Mark) Morel, precious grandchildren, Boston, Maddy, Savannah, and Emma, as well as a wide circle of family and friends, including her best friend, Elaine Brady.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Marian Hopkins and brother Steven Hopkins. Paula was a member of the Groesbeck Methodist Church and was known for her exceptional cooking skills, particularly her renowned yeast biscuits and Thanksgiving feasts, her favorite holiday.
She found joy in family travels, especially to Gatlinburg, TN, making countless cherished memories with her grandchildren. She crocheted baby blankets for all her grandchildren, and made many extra blankets for fun. She loved cruising, exploring Alaska, and many other destinations with Carl and her family.
Funeral services for Paula Jo Griffin will be held at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, with visitation from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, when the funeral service will begin. Afterward, Paula Jo will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens as her final resting place.
