Paula Perzichilli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Oakwood Funeral Home and Crematory - Maplewood on Feb. 12, 2026.
Paula Perzichilli, age 81, passed peacefully on February 8th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet grace.

Preceded in death by parents Ed and Elsie Carver, brothers Tom Carver and Mike Carver, parents in law Tom and Norma Perzichilli, siblings in law Bonnie Swanson, Dick Perzichilli, Steve Perzichilli, Matt Mercier, and special neighbors George and Pauline Oxford.

Paula is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of almost 63 years, Tom, her brother Ken Carver, many brothers and sisters in law, daughters Michelle Lessard (David), Raelyn Escobedo (Frito), Melissa Cirrone (Jason), Devrie (John O'Phelan), and Tahmi.

She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Rebecca Lessard, Nathan Lessard (Tiffany), Austin Lessard (Jessica), Al Escobedo (Rachel), Marcos Escobedo (Hannah), Ashley Perzichilli, Cody Perzichilli (Alicia), Rose O'Phelan, Eva O'Phelan, Selina O'Phelan, and Shaina O'Phelan and 19 + great-grandchildren.

Paula built her life around the people she cherished most. She supported her daughters and their families with intelligence, thoughtfulness, and a steady presence. Paula had a special tenderness for babies and children whom she loved and spoiled with delight, and her affection extended to animals, especially the dogs who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

Her kitchen produced her remarkable cooking that she loved to share with family and friends. She sewed and hand-crafted clothing and thoughtful gifts with the same care she poured into her relationships.

Paula spent summers tending her stunning flower gardens to attract the birds (especially hummingbirds). She and Tom had many adventures camping with friends and traveling the world.

She surrounded herself with her angel collection that mirrored her deep Christian faith, growing up Lutheran and later converting to Catholicism.

She served communion, taught catechism, and volunteered in other capacities. Her faith was not only practiced but lived.

Her laughter and giggles will echo in the hearts of those who knew her sense of humor. She was called "Sis" by her brothers who teased her lovingly. Her husband, best friend, and travel partner, Tom, had many nicknames for her including "Carv," "Poopsie," and "Gladys."

Paula leaves behind family and friends who treasured her, and a world made more beautiful because she was in it.
May she rest among the angels she loved so dearly.
