Paula Rooney

ROONEY, PAULA of Waterford; passed away on January 11, 2024; age 56; She was born on August 4, 1967. Paula was a loving sister, daughter, mother, and grandma. She cherished any chance to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Mason and Aubree. Paula is survived by her father, Michael (Pam) Rooney; sisters, Connie (Steve) Croff and Suzanne (Darrin) Boutorwick; daughter, Lauren (Corey) Pavlik; son, Max (Sarah) Rollison; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dianne Rooney, and brother-in-law, Kurtis Schultz. After high school, Paula completed cosmetology school. However, due to a knee injury and a move back to Michigan, Paula transitioned to working at the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office and later at the Oakland County Courthouse for over 10 years. Paula loved the summer. Whether it was barbecuing with her family or spending time on the boat, she enjoyed quality moments with loved ones. Having her children, Lauren and Max, both under the same roof when Max was visiting was always at the top of her list. A Memorial Service to honor Paula's life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at The Bethany Church, 1375 Hiller Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday 11 a.m. until time of service. They hope that you will join them at Sharks Club in Waterford following the service to celebrate Paula and share memories of her. Please join us in remembering and celebrating Paula.
