Paula Rogillio Strickland, 79 years old, beloved Spouse, Mother and Grandmother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on December 19, 1945, born to Buddy and T.R. Rogillio, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a faithful member of Plains Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir most of her life. She had a deep love for the Lord, Jesus Christ, her family and friends. She exhibited all the biblical virtues of a christian wife and mother. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her animals. She was a talented cook and chair weaver. She was faithful in sending condolence cards, bereavement cards, and celebration cards to the people she knew and loved. Paula was was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Paula is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Clovie Strickland, III; 3 sons, Mark Strickland and wife Rebecca, David Strickland and wife Ramona, and Gary Strickland and wife Debra; 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Amber, Hunter, and Sadie; 2 great-grandchildren, Ryland and Rhett; sister, Kathy Rogillio; and nephew, Daniel Strickland.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents, David "Buddy" and T.R. Tucker Rogillio.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Strickland, David Strickland, Gary Strickland, Dennis Strickland, Daniel Strickland, and Clif Langlois. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryland Parks, Hunter Strickland, and Rhett Flint.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Plains Presbyterian Church, 22929 Old Scenic Hwy, Zachary, LA, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Plains Presbyterian Church, on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Campbell Silman. The graveside service and burial will follow at Plains Presbyterian Memorial Gardens, in Zachary, LA.
