PAULA T. STUMPE (STUBITSCH)

Age 66, of Elwood passed away Friday, July 26th, 2024 at her home in Elwood. 

Paula is survived by her loving family, husband, James Stumpe, mother, Therese Stubitsch (Zangri), children, Chrissa & Sean Flannery, Courtney & Brian Doyle, Alicia & Jason Kieffer, Morgan & Jim Ellis, grandchildren, Maeve, Grace, Jack, Natalie, Mia, Vivienne, Jude, Leo, Mary, Camilla, Francesca, Josephine, Giovanna, siblings, Mari (Richard) Hicks, Joseph (Kathy) Stubitsch, Kerry Villarreal, Robert (Sissy) Stumpe, Karyn (Robert) McQuillan and sister in law Rebecca Stubitsch. 

Paula was preceded in death by her father, Francis Stubitsch, siblings, Francis Stubitsch, Mary Kay (John) Barcas and mother & father-in-law, Robert (Lois) Stumpe (Finn).

Paula helped raise many children in her home for many years as a childcare provider and as a mother to many; her home was a constant place to find love, acceptance and lots of food. She greatly enjoyed volunteering for the Elwood Children’s Garden, spending time with family, friends, long visits, vacations and especially time with her grandkids.

Funeral service will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, August 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of a wake, the family invites anyone that would like to join them for a Celebration of Paula's life at CD & ME, 23320 LaGrange Road, Frankfort, IL 60423 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Support Center of Mokena would be greatly appreciated.
