Paulette Bruning

Paulette Bruning (nee Costante), 70, a Resident of Champion's Gate, Florida, for 4 years and former longtime resident of Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away peacefully May 30, 2025, in Sycamore, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 28,1955, to Frank and Ida (nee Mazzulla). Paulette was married to Carl for 41 years; and was the loving mother of Michelle (Nick Ignoffo), Jessica (Kevin) Bott and Angela; proud grandmother of Michael and Maddy Bott and Austin Ignoffo; beloved sister of Colette (the late Vito) Carnevale; dear aunt to Toni (Anthony) Ballone, Nikki (Steve) Kanzia and Jodi; fond great aunt to Gia Ballone; and friend to many.
Paulette was an avid card player, who never turned down a good game. Bingo nights at the American Legion in Elmhurst were a regular highlight for her, where she found joy, not just in the game, but in the company of good friends. She always greeted everyone with a smile and her laughter was contagious. Her sense of adventure, love of family and gift of hospitality always brought people together and created lasting memories filled with food, family and fun. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation Wednesday, June 4, from 9:30am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 426 West Ave., Elmhurst.
