On Monday, March 31, 2025, Paulette Clinton, 72, departed Abilene, TX and arrived at her heavenly mansion. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will follow immediately after visitation on Thursday April 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
Paulette was born on August 30, 1952, in Abilene, Texas to her loving parents Harry and Leona Carter. She married the love of her life, Charles Clinton, on April 4, 1970. Paulette was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, but her favorite title was Granny. For 39 years, she helped her husband Charles run their family business, CI Electric Motor Service. She enjoyed reading, people watching, and traveling with her husband whether it be a weekend camping trip, a cruise, or a quick visit to a casino.
She is survived by her son, Mark Clinton and wife Kathleen;her daughter, Teresa Jones and husband Lucky; and her son, Chris Clinton and wife Senthea. She was blessed with ten beautiful grandchildren: Samuel Jones, Jennifer Graves, Dakota Moxham, Leona Clinton, Darienne Clinton, Sheila Clinton, Chance Clinton, Brooke Sullivan, Chase Clinton, and Colton Jones. She was gifted with 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her children and their families, Paulette's memory will be cherished by her brother, Dean Carter and wife Cherie, Sherman and Claudia Clinton, Johnny and Jane Clinton, Clifford and Yvonne Clinton, and all her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Carter; her mother, Leona Carter; her loving husband Charles Clinton; her brother, Bill Sandefer; her sister, Gwinda Horton; and her sister-in-law, Marietta Proctor-McCormick.
