Paulette Cynthia Hearst, 78, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 6:24 a.m. Wed. Aug. 14, 2024 at her home.
She was born Apr. 1, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to the late Arthur & Evelyn Aubuchan Coons.
On Aug. 22, 1964, she and John Clifford Hearst were married in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death May 11, 2015.
Paulette had worked for G.E.T. Plastics, retiring after more than 27 years of service.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Kim Hearst and Sandy (David) Rivera; a son: John (Carol Kussman) Hearst; 5 grandchildren: Eric Clifford Hearst, Megan (Steve Jones) Hearst, David Rivera, Thomas Rivera and Vince (Kelly Jones) Capriglione; 2 great-grandchildren: Spencer Jacob Wise-Capriglione and Benjamin Capriglione; and 2 sisters: Joan Jakul and Betty Schultz.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Dawn Michelle Hearst, a son-in-law: Steve Wetzel; a grandson: Jacob Michael Hearst; a brother; and 6 sisters.
The family will hold a celebration of Paulette's life at a later date.
