Paulette Morgan Insley, 77, of Poquoson, VA passed away amidst the love of her family and friends on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born in Meade County, KY on August 31, 1948, to Paul and Rose Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Melanie Laurin Ashberry, and a sister, Sue M. Mitchem.
Paulette graduated from Rappahannock Community College with an associate’s degree in business administration and worked for several law offices in the area before her retirement.
She is survived by her loving husband, Royal C. Insley; her children, Nancy Ashberry of Mechanicsville, VA, Kelly (Paul) Schuellein of Camden, NC, and Neal (Madelyn) Insley of Poquoson, VA; grandchildren, Blaine, Fallon (Kyle), Brett, Brittany, James, Brian (Lyric), Heidi, Ross, and Grady; great-grandchildren, Lilian, Silas, Channing, Bennett, Kanaan, and Woods, all of which she adored.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Salem Church, 1099 Salem Church Road, Diggs, VA. A period of visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
To honor Paulette’s life, memorial donations may be made to the Salem Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 474, Mathews, VA 23109 or the American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org.
