With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paulette Jean Kerr; known to her loved ones as "Cherry" who left this world on September 3, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 58. Born on April 5, 1967, in Westmoreland, Jamaica, Paulette was a radiant beacon of love and light to all who knew her.
Paulette was the beloved daughter of Enos Brown and Kerine Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Mark Cunningham, whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him. Paulette is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony Kerr, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage that began on December 5, 2011, in Savana La Mar, Jamaica. After initially meeting November 11, 1995, their fourteen years of marriage were built upon thirty years of deep companionship, a testament to their enduring love.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Samentha Whyte, Anthony Davian Orlando Kerr, Olivia Cummings, and Antonio Kerr. Paulette is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters, each of whom will remember her as a source of warmth, compassion, and unwavering support.
Throughout her life, Paulette enjoyed various hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was an avid participant in netball, enjoyed shopping, dancing, and had a profound love for gospel music. Her passions extended to reading her Bible, watching African drama movies, cooking, and indulging in YouTube reels. These activities were not just pastimes for Paulette; they were ways she connected with her family and community, sharing moments of happiness and laughter.
Paulette was a dedicated member of the Legacy Christian Church, where her faith and belief in the power of community shone brightly. Her characteristics were a true reflection of her spirit-she embodied light, love, caring, and compassion. Paulette was a picture of humility and warmth, making everyone feel at home in her presence. Her kindness and genuine nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service to honor Paulette's remarkable life will be held on September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Legacy Christian Church. All who knew and loved her are invited to join in celebrating her life and the many ways she touched our hearts.
