Paulette Lefczuk, 77, of
Chesapeake, VA, passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing marked the gentle close of a life defined by unconditional love, unwavering faith, and a spirit that touched everyone she met.
Paulette was the cherished matriarch of her family-the steady center of their world. Fondly known as "Memaw", she ensured that all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew how deeply they were loved and how firmly they were held together by the bonds she nurtured.
An avid animal lover, Paulette opened her heart and her home to countless creatures over the years-cats, dogs, and especially her beloved pigs. Her compassion for animals reflected the same tenderness she showed to people. She possessed a rare balance of strength and gentleness: strong when life demanded it, yet loving at all times. Her quick wit and perfectly timed smart comments could light up any room and bring laughter to those around her.
Paulette was deeply religious and held tightly to her faith in the Lord. Her belief carried her through every chapter of life and served as a guiding light for those who looked to her for comfort and wisdom. Paulette was the devoted widow of Charles Lefczuk, and she is also preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Bryan Tipton.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Luanne Tipton Campbell, and Paula's former spouse, John J. Campbell; her son, Richard Gary Tipton Jr., and his fiancée Judi; and her son, James Bradley Tipton, and his wife Cory Tipton. She is also remembered with love by Lindy Tipton, former spouse of her late son, Robert Bryan Tipton.
Paulette's memory lives on through her grandchildren-Tyler Campbell, Carmen Campbell (and partner Kyle), Briana Tipton, Zackary Tipton, and Alexis Tipton-and her great-grandchildren: Jayden Jackson, Cody, and Savannah, each of whom she treasured beyond measure.
The celebration of life service details will be forthcoming for those who wish to join the family in honoring and celebrating this wonderful woman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paulette Lefczuk Memorial Fund in support of the
Wounded Warriors, a cause that was especially close to her heart.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake Chapel.
