Paulette Patricia (Aulger) Prescher passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, January 25th, 2025.
Born March 8th, 1947, in Wells, MN, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Lois Aulger. Paulette graduated from Miami Norland High School, Florida in 1965. She returned to Minnesota to take care of her late Grandmother Elsie Roesler and began nursing school. She met the love of her life, Leon Prescher, and they were united in marriage July 10th, 1970, in Wells, MN. Leon and Paulette just celebrated their 54th anniversary last summer. Paulette graduated from St. Barnabas Nursing School in Minneapolis June 4th, 1971. They later welcomed 2 children, Shawn and Devon, into the family. She worked as an RN at United Hospital District until her retirement in 2014. Paulette was a beloved nurse, and her hobbies included painting, needlepoint, hardanger and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Leon of Blue Earth MN; son, Shawn, his wife Heather, and their children Connor, Diana, Owen, and Sadie of Lacey, WA; daughter, Devon, and her husband, Cash of South Glens Falls, NY. She is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Corrine Prescher of Blue Earth; sister-in-law, Gina Prescher of Blue Earth; nephew, Damian Prescher and his family; niece, Vanessa Bromeland and her family and cousins, Nancy Morris and Doug Roesler both in Colorado.
Paulette is preceded in death by her parents; fraternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. J. H. Aulger; maternal grandparents, Elmer & Elsie Roesler; father and mother-in-law, Roland and Geneva Prescher; adoptive parents, Carl and Minnie Hawkins; uncle and aunt, David and Lois Roesler; uncle, Paul Roesler and son-in-law, Paul Bazinet.
