Pauline Aud, 95, of Carmi passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born in Ft. Valley, VA on August 21, 1927 the daughter of Herman and Virginia (Funk) Walter. Pauline married Jewell Dee Aud on April 2, 1945 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1978. She had worked as a private sitter, before going to work at Molded Rubber. She retired after 17 years as a supervisor. Pauline was a member of Ditney Ridge Baptist Church in Norris City where she loved to go and be with her church family. She enjoyed working in the garden and would can what she raised. Pauline also enjoyed flowers, hummingbirds and to cook.
Pauline is survived by her three children, Jerry (Vivian) Aud of Carmi, Jack (Rosemary) Aud of Carmi and Paula (Tom) Lantrip of Greenville, IN; six grandchildren, Bill Aud, Jerry Dean Aud, Jacquelyn Flechs, Deedra Armstrong, Brittney Lantrip and Annette Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Elvena Coffey of Fairfax, VA and a sister-in-law, Janet Walters of Edinburg, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell; parents, Herman Walters and Virginia Dodson; a son, Leroy Aud, two brothers, Weldon Walters and Clyde Walters and a grandson, John D. Aud.
Funeral services for Pauline Aud, 95, of Carmi will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's memory to Brownsville School and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821
