Pauline Virginia Wilson, age 93 of Fort Run, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday evening, May 13, 2023 at her residence with her family at her side. Born on June 25, 1929, in Moorefield, she was a daughter of the late Harness Washington Lofton and Kurnie Adeline Shook Lofton. Her husband, Ervin Clifton Wilson preceded her in death in February 1998. A son, Stanley E. Wilson; brothers, Robert W. Lofton, George W. Lofton, Floyd W. Lofton, James W. Loften & Omer W. Lofton and sisters, Minnie Combs, Daisy See and Catherine Bolden also preceded her in death.
A lifelong homemaker, she was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her daughters, Dorothy P. Krasa of Bellevue, NE and Sharon A. Moore of Moorefield, WV; her sons, Gerald W. Wilson, Sr. of Baltimore, MD and Richard E. Wilson of Harpers Ferry, WV; her sister, Alice J. Lofton Good of Winchester, VA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street, with Pastor D. J. Taylor officiant. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
