Pauline Martin Carper Womack of South Boston, VA passed away February 4, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born in Halifax County on March 5, 1939 to the late John Thomas Martin and the late Minnie Mae Lacks Martin. She was married to the late Gerald Edward Womack.
She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. Pauline retired from Tultex and Walmart. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers but her family is what meant the most to her. She dearly loved and cared for her family, and she will be missed greatly.
Pauline is survived by her family, Kevin Eugene Carper (Laura) of Elliston, Sylvia Kay Barbour of Nathalie, Pamela Michelle Carter of Pamplin, Tammy Lynn Carper of Roxboro, Krista Gayle Chandler (Jason) of LaVernia; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two sisters, Gladys Brumfield and Catherine Stewart of Scottsburg. She is preceded in death by her siblings Ernest Eugene Martin and Dicie Shores.
A funeral service will be held On Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home with Tommy Adams conducting the service. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her grandson, Neil and Beth Allen, 33 Kendrick Drive, Roxboro, NC.
