Paulita Bachicha (95) of Anton Chico, New Mexico went to be the Lord on December 25, 2024 and now is embraced into eternal life.
Paulita was born in Dahlia, NM to Alejandro Bachicha & Piedad Rael Bachicha on July 18, 1929 and was the second child of eleven children. Early in her youth, she moved with her grandparents Floribal & Francesquita Bachicha who lived in upper town Anton Chico, New Mexico. Paulita graduated from the 8th grade and moved to Colorado, Idaho and Texas to work as a migrant worker and a cook. She later would settle in Santa Fe New Mexico in the 1970s, where she met her 2nd husband Ben Ledoux. Though Paulita had no children, she kept herself busy by caring for others and was also employed as a part-time cook at the Luisa Senior Center for many years.
One of her favorite past-times was getting into her little blue Volkswagen bug and would drive from store-to-store shopping for the weekly deals. Paulita especially liked shopping at the dollar stores and often times youd drop in for a visit and leave with a little blessing from the Dollar Store.
Paulita was well known as a beloved caretaker and friend to many within the Luisa Senior Community.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Alejandro Bachicha and Piedad Rael Bachicha, ex-husband Ben Ledoux, four sibling brothers, Selestrano, Willie, George and Lupe; and sisters, Mary, Phoebe & Zenaida.
She was a beautiful daughter, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Anton Chico, New Mexico on Friday, January 10, 2025. Services will begin at 1:00 pm and burial will follow at the Anton Chico Cemetery. Father Timothy Meurer shall preside over the services.
