Jeremy "Griff" Griffin, age 42, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born in March 1983 in Santa Fe, Jeremy lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and love for family and sports. Jeremy proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years completing four deployments and a short tour amongst various overseas assignments retiring in March of 2025, as rank of Master Sergeant (E7).

A bright light with a friendly smile, Jeremy loved all things sports, especially baseball, always rooting for the Red Sox. Over the course of his Air Force career, Jeremy was a part of many softball teams, bowling leagues, and volunteer groups, making many dear friends and memories across the globe. Jeremy was always ready to help others and enjoyed spending time with his family, most of all his two boys. He was known for giving great hugs and was quite the jokester.

He is survived by his beloved children, Jeremy "JJ" Jr. and Jonah; his former wife and mother of his children, Jamie Griffin; and his devoted girlfriend, Chere Garcia (Gilbert & Santiago) who stood by his side with love and care.

Jeremy leaves behind his father, Julio Olguin (Cynthia); his stepfather, Mark Martinez (Denise) as well as his cherished maternal grandparents, Jerry and Frances Griffin who were constant sources of love, support and guidance throughout his life. Loving former in-laws Raymond & Viviana Gonzales.

He is also mourned by his siblings, Brandon Martinez (Courtney), Ashley Ball (Kyle), Audrey Morales (Gilbert), Nicholas Herberger (Melissa), Michael Olguin (Melissa) and Brittany Olguin (Allen); loving aunts and uncles Jerry & Shawna Griffin; Gino & Margaret Montoya; Carmella Olguin; Clara Edwards; Suzanne Lavery; and a close circle of cousins who were more like siblings than relatives. Haley (Seth), Jeremiah (Elizabeth), Stephen (Trish), Jessica (Donald), Reuben (Sara), in-laws Nicholas (Luana), Maya (Ian), Jesse, Anthony, Alejandro and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Gail Griffin; maternal grandmother, Sandra Griffin; paternal grandparents Julio and Carol Olguin; uncle Pat Olguin; cousins Gavin Griffin, Denise Olguin, and Dion Lavery.

A final retirement and celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 beginning with a rosary (9:00), funeral mass (10:00) procession to the National Cemetery final burial ceremony (1:00) followed by luncheon. Rosary, mass and luncheon to be held at St. Anne's Parish at 511 Alicia St in Santa Fe, NM. We look forward to your presence as we celebrate the life of our dear Griff.
