Pavel Kovalevich, 93, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 25, 2025. Born in Ukraine, he was a devoted husband to the late Ulyana for 70 years. Together, they raised seven children: Lidiya (Vasiliy), Grigory (Mariya), Mariya (Aleksander), Natalia (Valentyn), Viktor (Katerina), Fedor (Dina), and Tamara (Vladimir). His legacy continues through 166 descendants, including 55 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren (3 more on the way), and 16 great-great-grandchildren (with one more on the way).

A skilled carpenter and farmer, Pavel left school after the first grade due to war but later apprenticed as a woodsman. He served in the Ukrainian Army before immigrating to the U.S., a decision that profoundly shaped his family's future.

A dedicated church deacon, he was an active member of Grace Slavic Pentecostal Church in Erie, PA. He found joy in fishing, tending his garden, and helping maintain his building's grounds. Known for his quiet wisdom, his response to life's uncertainties "If God's OK with it" reflected his unwavering faith.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., both at The Summit, 8160 Oliver Rd, Erie, PA 16509. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery, 2116 Chestnut St, Erie, PA 16502.

Pavel's love, faith, and dedication to his family will always be remembered.
