Medicine Lodge - Esther Pearl Conaway, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones and her family. She was born on February 17, 1933 in Coats to Lester J. and Elsie A. (Martin) Wells. Pearl married Walter Glenn Conaway on August 9, 1957 in Barber County. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2024.
Pearl graduated from Medicine Lodge High School, then attended and graduated from Southwestern Assembly of God Bible College, with a degree in Bible and Theology. Pearl was a homemaker, licensed minister, a business owner and a writer. She was a member of First Assembly of God and Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Medicine Lodge. Pearl and Glenn pastored together for 25 years and she was involved in many different ministries before, during and after those years.
She enjoyed crafting, writing, painting, baking, sewing, cooking, going to garage sales and thrifting and spending time with her grandchildren. However, most importantly she was a fervent prayer warrior for her whole family and many others.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (Travis) McCauley of Medicine Lodge, Patty Barrera of Medicine Lodge, Christine (Jeff) Stacey of Mounds, Oklahoma and Glenda (Gary) Kelton of San Angelo, Texas; sister, Jean Kutz of Pratt; 38 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren with 4 additional on the way, as well as numerous other family members.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elsie Wells; husband, Glenn Conaway; brother in-law, Don Kutz; sister, Joyce Oakes; and granddaughter, Shala Washington.
Pearl requested bright colors to be worn in celebration of her home going. Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 3-5 at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Medicine Lodge First Assembly of God with Pastor Rodney Worsham and Pastor Brent Mettling presiding.
