Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Helen S. Marx
Pearl is a Reading High School graduate. She worked as a Telephone Operator for St. Joseph's Medical Center for many years, until retirement.
When Pearl wasn't spending time with her grandkids, she loved to read, cook, listen to country music, work on crossword puzzles and all things Johnny Depp.
Pearl is survived by two sons, Richard Steffy of Reading and Eric Steffy (Melissa) of Perkiomenville; her daughter Erin Schaeffer (Robert) of Laureldale, her grandchildren: Shane Steffy (Anabel) of Queen Creek, AZ; Sierra Snyder (Gene) of Reading; Ariel Steffy (Jayme Colon) of Reading; Lexie Gaines (Eric) of Royersford; Hunter Aurand of Reading; Kaci Schaeffer (a student at Alvernia University); Ryan Schaeffer and Payton Schaeffer of Laureldale. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time, as this was Pearl's wishes.
