Pedro González Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory - Brownsville on Feb. 18, 2026.

In Loving Memory of Pedro González

With profound sadness and love, we share the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Pedro González. He was born on February 23, 1960, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and passed away on February 15, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family.

Pedro was a devoted father, a hardworking man, and a person with a generous heart. He loved to joke and bring laughter to those around him. Though life had its challenges, his kindness and noble spirit never wavered, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a way of making friends everywhere he went. Beyond his love for el Cruz Azul, what mattered most to him was being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Telma Carranza; his children Antonia, Dora and her husband Carlos Bocanegra, and Pedro Damián and his wife Emily González; and his beloved grandchildren Isabella, Leonel, and Valeria, who brought him immense joy in life. He is also survived by his siblings Juliana, Emilio, Alfredo, David, Maria Magdalena, and Maria Antonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia González Ibarra and Pedro González Arriaga.

Though his passing fills us with deep sorrow, his legacy of family unity and love will continue to guide us every day.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The visitation and services end at 8:00 p.m.
