**In Loving Memory of Pedro "Pipo" Lopez Sr.**
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pedro “Pipo” Lopez Sr., who departed this world on January 18, 2025, the very day he was born into it 95 years prior in Aspermont, Texas, to Rosendo and Jesusa Lopez.
Pedro, a vibrant soul, filled his days with simple pleasures that illuminated the lives of those around him. He had an unparalleled love for cooking, often delighting family and friends with his culinary creations and cherished barbecues. His passion for old-school Mexican music served as the perfect soundtrack to his life, inviting everyone into a joyful rhythm of memories and laughter.
A man of eclectic interests, Pedro found joy in the whimsical antics of Tom and Jerry and the rugged tales of John Wayne’s westerns. His hands, skilled and steady from years of carpentry, crafted not just furniture but also bonds with those he loved.
For twenty years, he dedicated his service to the Southern Pacific Railroad before embracing a fulfilling role at J. Warren Funeral Services after his retirement—a testament to his compassionate nature and love for people.
Pedro's heart was ever so generous, sharing in the joys and sorrows of his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margarita H. Lopez, and his cherished son, Reynaldo “Moe” Lopez. His legacy endures through his surviving children: Maria Juanita L. Garza, Jose A. Lopez Sr., Sylvia Lopez Samaniego, and Pedro “Bullfat” Lopez Jr. He is further survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his spirit.
He will be remembered in a celebration of life, with services taking place on Friday, January 31, 2025. The day will begin with visitation at 8:00 AM at Valley Chapel, followed by a rosary at 10:00 AM and a mass at 10:30 AM at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, concluding with burial at Eloy Memorial Park.
As we gather to honor Pedro's remarkable life, we remember a man whose warmth, wisdom, and love will echo in our hearts forever. Services have been entrusted to J. Warren Funeral Services-Valley Chapel.
