Funeral services for Mr. Pedro Whitley of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 1 PM at the Dock Kemp School, 417 Crawford Road in Wrightsville.
Mr. Pedro Whitley was born on Monday, August 26, 1946, in Wrightsville, Georgia, to his parents, the late Juanita Whitley Davis and Jasper Hunter. He was raised by the late Lizzie Whitley-Owens and Daniel Owens.He attended the Dock Kemp School in Johnson County. He was employed with Engelhard Corp. for 30 years. His hobbies were playing cards and riding around Wrightsville. He had a great sense of humor; but most of all he loved to crack jokes. On August 6, 1966, he was united into holy matrimony to Annie M. Brown.
Mr. Whitley departed from this life on Friday, November 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David, and Matthew Whitley; sister, Pauline Davis; two grandsons, Kelvis Whitley, and LePhillip Wright.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Annie M. Whitley; children, Phillip (Edreia) Whitley, Sherie Whitley, Lakesheia Wright, Lolanda Hawthorne, Antwornn (Shekita) Whitley, Jeremie (Shanterra) Whitley and Jeremiah Elbert; sisters, Polly Whitley, Carolyn Davis, Sandra (Kenneth) Morrison; brother, James Hunter; aunt, Geneva Hicks; uncle, Jonas (Emma) Whitley; sisters-in-law, Lillie Horne, Daisy Stewart, Annie M. Brown, Alisa (Glenn) Darrisaw, Arlene (Isaac) Bivens; brothers-in-law, Willie (Arlene) Brown, AJ (Linda) Brown, B.J. (Dorthy) Brown, Adolph (Gladys) Brown, Leroy (Mary) Moye, Frankie Brown, twenty grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 1801 Buckeye Road in Tennille, Georgia.
