Funeral service Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Rose of Sharon Original Free Will Baptist Church, Robersonville, NC. Entombment will follow the service in Pinewood Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church.
Peggy was born in Beaufort County, North Carolina on November 11, 1935, to the late James Roscoe and Gladys Inez Roberson Mizelle. She graduated Washington High School as the class Salutatorian; and worked as an Operator for Carolina Telephone/Sprint for many years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years; and was a member of Rose of Sharon Original Free Will Baptist Church in Robersonville; and a previous member of Piney Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church on Cherry Run Road in Washington.
Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Nellie Harrison; brother, James H. Mizelle; one granddaughter; and son-in-law, Marc Macias.
She is survived by her three children, Jeffery Biggs and wife, Penny, Gregory Biggs and wife, Linda, and Gwendolyn Macias; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne White and husband, Robert; and sister-in-law, Linda Mizelle.
