Mrs. Peggy Sue (Russell) Higbee, age 63, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at her residence. Peggy was born on June 26, 1961, the daughter of Mose and Irma Ina (Warren) Russell, Sr. Peggy had many hobbies that included fishing, cooking, baking and spending time with her dog, Charlie. She also had a love for sewing and she passed on that talent to her daughter, Kayla. Peggy's greatest joy was being outside and tending to her gardens.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Higbee; five siblings, Paul Russell, Violet Hardesty, Betty Horn, Margie Vance and Edith Marie Russell; and her friend, J.C. Shacklette. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kayla Marie (Brian) Higbee; seven siblings, Irma Carter, Mildred Evans, Dorothy Goodman, Kathy Russell, Ernest Russell, Mose Russell, Jr. and Guy Russell; her niece, Missy Bloomer; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honoring Peggy's wishes, her family has chosen cremation with a private family service to be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Pets In Need Society.
