With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Hsu, a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, who peacefully passed away on February 22nd, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Hong Kong on March 29th, 1936 to Joseph Lam and Edith Lam, she was cherished by her family and friends for her generosity, outgoing nature, strength, and a sense of humor. She dedicated her life to loving her husband, her children and her grandchildren and devoting herself to her friends with unwavering support, encouragement and love. Peggy was passionate about cooking and often shared with the family and friends and was a sharp, frugal shopper. She is survived by her eldest son Raymond and daughter-in-law Connie and daughter, Annie, the youngest daughter, her son-in-law, James and many grand-children, Michelle from Raymond and Connie, Terence, Nicky and Stephanie from Amy, the second daughter, and Christian, Amanda, Justin and Sienna, from the youngest daughter, Annie.
Just as Peggy encouraged Rio, her late husband, to go to Japan in the 1950s to study dentistry, leaving her family and friends in Hong Kong, so she supported with frequent cooking and encouragement to her oldest son, Raymond, to go and complete his law school study and passed the bar exams.
When Annie, her youngest daughter, was in college, Peggy's constant on-the-knee prayers for her future husband, a man of godly character, was answered, evident by all four of Annie's children finished college and are gainfully employed.
Peggy's last wishes during her past years were to be re-united with her husband Rio and to behold face-to-face with her Lord. She would be remembered by her children, grandchildren and her friends.
